Our History

KD Group established by Kieran Staunton. The company began with 2 employees as a plumbing business, based in Mayo.

While 2008 was the beginning of the downturn in Ireland, by being customer service focused, KD Mechanical maintained their business at this point, establishing themselves as a Mechanical Engineering company with 50 employees.

Five years after the economic recession commenced, KD Group’s turnover is exceeding €5 million. An office in Dublin is opened, this was a pivotal step in becoming a nationwide mechanical contractor.

The establishment of KD Group’s BIM department was a milestone for the company. This enabled the better use of off-site prefabrication, modulations and ‘Lean’ construction methods, thereby further enhancing our project delivery methods. First Office fit-out for KPMG Galway in 2015.

KD Group obtain ISO14001, OHSAS 18001 & ISO9001 certification. This certification is a Mechanical & Electrical Contractor, enhancing the service offering of the company.

KD Group win BIM initiative of the year after already successfully achieving many awards from the National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO). Hit €10m turnover.
